About the Project:
The first five artists selected for 35 x 35 are all women; Beth Shapeero, Claire Barclay, Erica Eyres, Nat Walpole and Sandra de Matos. The selection explores frizzy hair, frayed edges, and erotic bodies. All hint towards an unhinged wilderness beneath the surface. 35 x 35 offers collectors accessibly priced editions from renowned artists and new voices. The project furthers ShapeeroMurray’s goal to support artists and enable them to continue to make their essential and urgent work in a challenging arts economy.
